How the integration works

PeopleGoal utilizes ADP's Workers v2 API to retrieve information from ADP Workforce Now to PeopleGoal. The Workers APIs support the management of workers in an organization. A worker is a person who performs duties and responsibilities for an organization. In that capacity, a worker fills one or more positions via a work assignment. For a given work assignment, a worker is related to the organization as an employee or contractor. The Workers APIs can be used to obtain a list of all workers in an organization and to get information about work assignments.

To set up the connection with your account's API you will have to share an API credential with us which usually can be generated by your Account IT admin, if you have APIs activated in your account. Most likely you will have to engage an integration specialist from ADP to generate the APIs in your account.

Our Development team will trigger a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) with PEX certificate, in order for the ADP integration specialist to generate the API credentials:

• Client ID
• Client Certificate

The API credentials will give us access to your workers data and we will be in position to establish an automated connection between PeopleGoal and your ADP Workforce Now Account.

Worker Profile Set Up in PeopleGoal

PeopleGoal supports custom employee profiles and you will be able to create a truly custom profile template in your account. An example of a custom profile is shown below:

Any worker profile that is available in ADP can be imported into PeopleGoal as long as you add it in the PeopleGoal profile template. A sample of worker profile fields you can import into to PeopleGoal from ADP Workforce Now is shown below:

How long does it take to complete the ADP Workforce Now with PeopleGoal?

Depending on the level of engagement from your side the full integration can be completed within a week. The first step to kick off the process is to define which worker profiles you want to have in PeopleGoal and set those up in your Account. Once that is done we will have to engage with your ADP admin to start the credential generation process.

How frequently do you synchronize the data between ADP Workforce Now and PeopleGoal?

We can set any frequency for the data sync. We typically do it daily at 12:00 AM

If I create a custom employee profile template and the integration is complete can I add/remove fields from the profile template?

Absolutely, once the API connection is established we can make changes to the template as needed.

Can I import/remove workers through the integration?

Yes, user provisioning will be completed through the integration reducing the time you have to spend setting up users in PeopleGoal.

What happens if the sync breaks and worker details are not being imported in PeopleGoal?

We have monitoring tools in place and we will be notified if the sync breaks. In that case, we will take timely action to fix the issue. We may have to engage with your ADP Workforce Now admin in case they made changes in the access level that triggered the issue.

Do you change extra for the integration with ADP Workforce Now?

That depends on the plan you are on. Generally speaking, we charge USD 3,000 for customers that are not on the enterprise plan.

Does ADP charge in order to provide access to the API?

That depends on the level of access you have. In most cases there will be a one-off cost of $1000 and an annual maintenance cost of $100. However, this is something you will have to check with your ADP Workforce Now account manager.
